WSI-OR Celebrates Women’s History Month
Kathy Smith, owner and President/CEO of NetGain Corporation, spoke to employees at WSI-OR’s Women’s History Month Program. Ms. Smith spoke about her more than 30 years of experience in the security industry within both the government and private sectors and about starting her own business in 1999. Since that time NetGain has grown to a multi-million dollar company and has received numerous awards. Smith encouraged any women in the room to speak to her after the program if they ever decided to follow a dream and start their own business.
Following her presentation, Jean Burleson, WSI-OR General Manager, presented Ms. Smith with a framed copy of a recent magazine feature on her and her company. Program attendees also had the opportunity to learn some fun facts about some of their favorite female co-workers during the “Amazing Women of Wackenhut” trivia contest.
The Women’s History Month Program was chaired by John Burleson and was put together with the assistance of a committee consisting of Courtney Henry, Priscilla Kingry and Cheryl Robie.
