NetGain President and CEO, Kathy Smith, believes it is of the utmost importance to not only be a part of the community, but to also give back to the community. Therefore she has graciously committed NetGain Corporation to support charities and organizations that are close to our hearts.

One of the most important commitments for NetGain Corporation is our support of the East Tennessee branch of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation whose mission is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research. Ms. Smith serves on the Board of Directors for the East TN branch and has been an active participant in their gala event for the past five years. On October 13th, 2007 NetGain served as one of two presenting sponsors for the 15th annual gala event “Seeds of Hope.” NetGain was joined by many of its clients and business associates, including Wackenhut Services Inc. Gala attendees enjoyed dinner, live entertainment and exciting live and silent auctions, and a heart-touching presentation to honor the children that are affected by this disease. It was a memorable evening and this year’s gala raised nearly $170,000 to fund research for a cure!

NetGain also supports the Make-a-Wish Foundation and its local chapters in East Tennessee and New Mexico. Make-a-Wish grants wishes to children between the ages of 2-1/2 and 18 who have a life-threatening illness or condition. Employees in Albuquerque have donated travel items to entertain children on their airplane ride while NetGain’s corporate office in Knoxville has been a long-time attendee and sponsor of “Waltz for Wishes,” an annual formal event that includes dinner, dancing, and live and silent auctions. The 2007 Waltz for Wishes was held at the Knoxville Marriott in April 2007 and raised over $130,000 to fund the wishes of local children.

A new charity commitment for NetGain in 2007 is the East Tennessee branch of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. This year’s 4th annual Wine on the Water event took place in the backyard of NetGain’s corporate office at Volunteer Landing and featured wine tasting and food sampling from some of Knoxville’s top distributors and hottest restaurants. NetGain was proud to be the title sponsor for this event, which raised over $65,000 to support research to find a cure for this inherited chronic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system of about 30,000 children and adults in the United States.

NetGain is proud to support the local community and its many worthy charities.
